At the center of Goober Games is our mascot, Goober—a happy blue slime with a wild backstory. Born in a mysterious lab near Chernobyl after an unfortunate nuclear incident, Goober began his life as an ordinary box of goopy laundry detergent… until the radiation transformed him (and a few of his detergent buddies) into the Goobs you know today. Lovable, goofy, and here for a good time, Goober is on a lifelong crusade to make Earthlings’ game nights a whole lot goofier.
I’m Ethan Webb—a proud Native Hawaiian and the CEO, Lead Game Designer, and Artist behind Goober Games, a Utah-based tabletop game company bringing people together through unforgettable, face-to-face fun.
I’ve loved game nights all my life, first with my family, then in college playing marathon board games with friends. Those moments taught me nothing beats laughing, talking, and competing in person.
In 2022, inspired by Utah’s own Grandpa Beck’s Games, I traded a pre-med path for an entrepreneurial leap, creating bold, easy-to-learn party and family games that help youth break the ice, first dates connect, and families bond.
Because the best memories don’t happen on a screen, they happen around a table.
